Goucam - SS18End of the Line

Inspired in Havana, it was with Soul that I wanted to share my last work with Goucam Group.

Focused on the 70’s, also on the details and colours, I climbed up a pallete of colours, some soft, some more intense.

The garments interiors have their own story and charm, that cross and highlight the fitting of a contemporary man.

The women is cosmopolitan, but also comes down to a colonial livingness. Under a soft colour pallete, the pieces were sprinkled with highly refined details here and there, bringing up the beauty of each theme.

The Man and Woman I chose, are those that finally forsake the certain for the uncertain.
The colours and alignments bring a revolution to the closets and the industry.

These new mentalities require new technologies and innovative approaches.
Embedded in this modern spirit and also on the recent communication channels, the social networking and new platforms, I chose to reflect these new styles and technologies in this collection.
The industry must awaken and revolutionize the existing system, people and thoughts, there must be a brand new man.

I never liked the simple, the easy, because fashion must be savoured before achieving the final recipe.
I’m an endless dreamer. One day I want to once again have the pleasure to tell stories and emotions at GOUCAM through the design, garment making and words.
In what regards the work and projects made, as well as many brands, collections, catalogues, press work and other unfulfilled dreams, in their surroundings they foment connections and passions, and they will never be… the End of the Line.

My message to Goucam Group’s CEO

Dear José Carlos,

“Life are brush strokes of a painting that is only finished once we finally hang it in the most passionate place of our mind. During the act of painting, the artist hides below the paint countless contexts, thoughts and dreams that end and are reborn many times.
The dream is the most important, paint as you want to, bring up the best of your paintings. Never give up on painting, on dreaming, believe that one day the artwork will finally be hang and all will contemplate it with pride.”

A strong and brotherly embrace,

Victor Rego
